PutFive Privacy Policy
Last Revised: 8.30.2026
1. Introduction
At PutFive (the “Company”, the “Platform”, “we”, “us” and “our”), we believe that everyone has a right to privacy. In accordance with that belief, we provide you with the tools necessary to control and manage your online identity while using our mobile and desktop applications (collectively the “Services” or the “App”). In this Privacy Policy (“the Policy”), we want to help you understand how PutFive collects, uses and shares information about you while using the Services or interacting with the Company. We want this Policy to provide you with the information necessary to make informed decisions about how you choose to use the Services.
1.1 Who We Are
PutFive is a platform that helps people connect, start conversations and build communities with friends around shared interests. We allow users to create and share customizable challenges with friends, helping transform real-life events into memories. PutFive does not facilitate or process payments between users nor do we collect, hold or facilitate the transfer of funds; any amounts shown in a challenge are for tracking purposes only.
1.2 PutFive is a Public Platform
A significant amount of the information published on the Services is publicly accessible, available to all users and even people who do not have accounts.
When you create content on a public part of the Services (creating a challenge, joining a challenge, voting or commenting), any users on, or visitors to, our Services will be able to see and interact with that content. If you do not want certain of your content (challenge details or voting) to be publicly accessible to all users and visitors, you can create private challenges, where the aforementioned information is only available to users you invite to the challenge.
Your PutFive account has a profile that is public. This profile contains personal information you provide, such as your display name, username, profile picture and bio, as well as information about your activities on our Services, including your challenges, votes, comments and Sharp reputation score.
2. What Information We Collect
| Information You Provide to UsWe collect the information that you provide to us directly when you use the Services. This information includes: | |
| Account Information |
To create a PutFive account, you must provide either your mobile phone number or email address. We will confirm the mobile phone number or email address you provide belongs to you by sending a verification code. We then use this phone number or email address to verify your identity when you sign in to the Services and to send you notifications and updates about the Services as well as administrative and security messages about your account. Your phone number and email address are not displayed on your profile and are not visible to others using the Services. People who have your email address or phone number saved to the address book on their mobile phone, however, will be able to find your account on PutFive by syncing their contacts. You can, however, turn off other users’ ability to find your account via your mobile phone number or email address in your Settings. To create a PutFive account, you must also provide your date of birth and create a password that we use to verify your identity when logging in to the Services. Your date of birth is not displayed on your profile and is not otherwise visible to others using the Services. We store your password in an encrypted, hashed form to ensure confidentiality and security. If you create a PutFive account, your account will have a display name, username and, if you choose to share, a profile picture and bio that you provide. Your display name, username, profile picture and bio are all public and viewable by anyone using the Services, including those who do not have a PutFive account. The display name and username you provide are not required to be related, in any way, to your government name and uploading a profile picture, which is used to help your friends identify you, is optional. |
|---|---|
| Content You Create |
We collect the content you create while using our Services. This includes the event descriptions, stakes and predictions of challenges you create, are invited to, request to join, join and vote on. This also includes changes to the event descriptions, stakes and predictions of challenges you edit in counter proposals. We also collect the content you create while interacting with other users and engaging with the content they create. This includes direct messages, group messages and comments. We also collect the photos and videos you upload to challenges as proof that the outcome occurred. The proof you upload is visible to all users who are able to see the challenge. |
| Actions You Take | We collect information about the actions you take while using the Services. This includes your engagement with content created by other users, such as reactions to messages, likes on comments, mentions, and predictions on challenges and featured events. We also collect information on your connections with other users, including friend requests, follows, group conversations you are a part of, content and users you report, and accounts you block. |
| Contacts You Share |
If you sync your contacts, we access the phone numbers and email addresses saved in your device’s address book to identify and show your contacts who have PutFive accounts. Your address book is sent to our servers where it is then converted into a hashed form, compared against existing PutFive accounts, and then discarded. We do not store your contacts and your contacts who do not have a PutFive account are never recorded. We do, however, store a hashed copy of your phone number and email address, which we use to identify your account when people sync their contacts. Syncing contacts is optional and if you sync contacts and later want to turn off this feature, you can do so at any time. |
| Invitations You Send |
PutFive allows you to challenge friends who do not yet have PutFive accounts by sending challenges to their phone number. When you send a challenge to a friend using their phone number, we prepare an invite message in your messaging app, which you can edit before sending, containing the challenge’s event description and a link to download PutFive. We do not send messages to people who do not have PutFive accounts. You send the invitation from your mobile device and from your phone number. To send a challenge to someone who does not have a PutFive account, we store their phone number in a hashed form, paired with the number’s last four digits. We do not store the phone number itself. Then, when someone creates a PutFive account, we compare the phone number they used to sign up against the phone numbers associated with pending challenge invitations. If a challenge invitation was sent to a phone number associated with a new account, then that invitation will appear in the user’s notification inbox. If no account is created using the phone number a challenge invitation was sent to within seven days, then we delete that challenge invitation. |

|---|---|
| Controlling Your Discoverability and Who Can See Your Content |
You can control how other users are able to find your account and who can see and interact with the content you create. You can control your discoverability by preventing people who have your phone number or email address from finding your account when they sync their contacts. You can also control who can see and interact with the content you create by making your account private. When your account is private, only your friends can see the challenges you create, join or vote on, and your lists of friends, followers and people you follow. You can also block users, preventing them from seeing your account and any of your activities on PutFive. We do not notify a user when you block them, and you can unblock them at any time. You can also create private challenges that are only visible to people who are invited to join the challenge. |
| Deleting Your Account | You can delete your account at any time within the Settings page in your profile. When you delete your account, your profile will no longer be visible to other users and visitors. Please note, however, that certain of your activities, including challenges you created or joined, votes, comments and messages, will still be visible to other users. |
